General Tips Europa Open Air

Here you will find further information about the Europa Open Air of the Frankfurt Radio Symphony and the European Central Bank.

General information:

• A limited number of seats (beer tables and benches) are available. However, there is no seating entitlement and no reservation option.
• The event site is freely accessible from 4 p.m. on the day of the event. However, if the maximum permitted number of visitors is reached (12,000 visitors), admission will no longer be granted for security reasons.
• There will be security checks and bag checks at the entrance.
• The event site includes an official bicycle lane, which will be temporarily rerouted.
• Food and drinks will be available on the grounds.
• Sanitary facilities are available on the grounds.
• The area is not covered. In case of bad weather, visitors are asked to go to the surrounding parking garages or the subway station.

The following are not permitted on the event site:

• Professional camera equipment with telephoto lenses and/or tripods (only with press accreditation & photo pass)
• Glass bottles, glasses (exception: urgently needed medication in glass bottles)
• Thermos flasks, beverage crates
• Sharp knives/pocket knives
• Spray cans / horns / horns
• Ghetto blasters
• Roller skates/inline skates/skateboards/e-scooters/bicycles
• Tables/benches/sofas
• Weapons/pepper spray/pyrotechnic objects
• Dogs and other animals

The following are permitted on the event grounds:

• Drinks in plastic containers, PET bottles, tetrapacks and cans (up to 0.5 l)
• Own food, also in plastic boxes
• able cutlery, paper and plastic cups
• Bicycle helmets
• Picnic blankets, camping chairs
• Umbrellas (also peckers)
• Motorcycle helmets
• baby carriages
• cell phones
• Cameras without large lenses
• Rollators / crutches / wheelchairs

Accessibility:

• The concert has limited accessibility.
• Wheelchair users are requested to register at (069) 155-5100 or by e-mail: hzs@hr.de.
• A limited number of disabled parking spaces are available for people with walking disabilities with appropriate proof (only after prior registration using the contact details above).
• Access for wheelchair users and people with walking disabilities is possible via a ramp via Jenny-Apolant-Weg from Oskar-von-Miller-Straße no. 28 or 30.
• A platform for wheelchair users and their accompanying person (limited capacity) is available on the premises. Please register for this.
• There are disabled toilet cubicles on the grounds near the wheelchair platform and in both toilet areas.

Arrival by public transport:

There will be staff-related restrictions on the tram lines. The transport company has arranged for the underground and suburban trains to be extended, so we recommend taking the underground or suburban train.

Arrival by car:

• There are no parking spaces available at the event site.
• Please use the parking garages in Frankfurt city center.

Arrival by bicycle:

• There will be three large bicycle parking lots in front of the event site. One parking lot will be located on the banks of the Main next to the Flößerbrücke, the second parking lot is on the banks of the Main next to the Oosten restaurant and the third parking lot is in Horst-Schulmann-Straße.
• The official cycle path along the banks of the Main will be temporarily diverted for the duration of the event.
